Nurses are being named in lawsuits than ever
before. It is necessary that nurses gain
insight into healthcare laws and how they
are applied. Knowledge of the law can
minimize your liability and, if you
supervise, can limit the liability of those
you supervise. This course will give you
confidence to make proper decisions and how
the law applies to them. This course is not
intended to give legal advice, however,
it offers critical information on why Nurses
should be concerned about medical
malpractice. We discuss the difference
between medical malpractice and negligence.
We discuss the four elements necessary for
the plaintiff to prove medical malpractice. |
